Hi
My Name is Lars Schau, I’m 46 years old and I live in Bramming, Denmark.
My earlier project, (a Honda Goldwing Cafe Racer), was a huge success, and it won first price, at a Allingåbro Motor Festival, back in may 2015.
http://www.motorcykelgalleri.
In September 2015, I began my project with the 1983 Yamaha XV 750 SE.
When I am building bikes, I’m always trying to create something new or something with a twist.
But I always wanted to build a XV 750 or a
920. So now I had the chance to build my dream bike.
On the “before and after picture”, you can see, how it all began. And all the pictures from the build, can be seen here.
I was inspired by two bikes I’ve seen. But I wanted to combine the two bikes.
One of the important things to me, was to create the “floating seat” witch I have spend many hours to figure out, how to build the bracket for the seat.
And then we have the wheels.
I took the stock wheels, and basically, made them look like modern wheels again, by adding aluminum plates.
Almost all the custom wiring, is hidden under the tank, with a Moto-gadget M-unit, to control it all.
All the lights are LED.
The colors are:
Frame, wheels, license plate holder and fork = Gloss black
Middle stripe on tank and fenders, headlight ring, wheel inserts and engine brackets = Three layer Lamborghini orange.
Tank, fenders and headlight = Custom black metallic.
And two small white lines to divide the two colors..
95% of the build is done by me. ( except paint and some welding)
If you need more info about the bike, just write back, and I will try to answer your questions.
Kind Regards
Lars Schau
