Exactly one year ago I’ve launched BikeBrewers.com; the result of a combined passion for custom motorcycles and blogging/websites. Of course there already was a “Big 4” on this topic (Bike EXIF, Pipeburn, Return of the Cafe Racers and The Bike Shed), but I saw some room and made myself a goal to make this a “Big 5” including BikeBrewers! On July 15 I started with a post about the bike that inspired me to actually start blogging about custom motorcycles: Sacha Lakic’s Honda CX500 Cafe Racer. A bike that not only did something to me: it was a masterpiece that got a sh*tload of attention around the world. The bike was such a success that they’ve decided to produce a very limited series of it trough Blacktrack Motors.
Now, one year later BikeBrewers.com was the showcase for over 150 custom bikes. Next to photo’s and stories of bikes, I’ve wrote some articles around motorcycles and some handy Do It Yourself guides like a guide to lace motorcycle wheels, rejet carburetors, paint a motorcycle gas tank and a cafe racer building plan.
In the meantime I’m slowly making progress at my CB500 cafe racer project and lately I’ve sold my Triumph Street Triple and bought a long desired Moto Guzzi V7 Racer. In my opinion the most beautiful stock cafe racer you can buy.
Thanks for an amazing first year!
Right from the start I started working on a fanbase, with one main target: inspire others (and of course myself!). The result is a strong growing group of followers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and Youtube. The site self is attracting over 30,000 visitors each month, generating over 60,000 unique pageviews! These are numbers worth blogging for!
I want to thank all followers and fans for an amazing first year. Next 12 months I’m digging my way further in the custom motorcycle scene, bringing you more bikes, more pictures and more articles.
