As a V7 rider myself, I’m always a bit biased when it comes to custom Guzzi’s. So yes, I was happy to receive this Moto Guzzi V7 Sport racer in my inbox by Shiro Nakajima. Shiro is the founding father of “Ritmo Sonero”, a motorcycle parts shop in Japan for European motorcycles. This shop, founded in 2001, is spreading parts for custom motorcycles in Japan and abroad. His first focus was on BMW (some of you may remember this BMW R nineT), but later he added parts for other brands like Moto Guzzi. Back in 2014, Shiro started up a spin-off called 46Works. With this small label, he focusses on the fabrication of custom motorcycles, next to machining parts for cars and original furniture.
This beautiful classic Moto Guzzi V7 Sport is a project done for an American customer who wanted a race bike for running in the AHRMA vintage race series. He started with the only the frame and literally took every component a part and refurbished or replaced it. The result is a beautiful and functional classic racer without unnecessary parts or optics. His customer will run this beauty for the first time at the Daytona Bike Week.
