These pictures are probably the first from a whole photo shoot, and I’m sure that we can expect more pictures and information about this BMW G310R Cafe Racer. What I do know is that it’s built by Cafe Racer Dreams in cooperation with BMW Motorrad Spain. It’s called “Hadoken”, Japanese for “Moving Wave Punch” or “Shockwave Fist”. I’m sure one of the “big boys” is busy writing a cool post about it right now. So you’ll just have to settle with these pictures for now and some a little info.
The G310 is a result of the fact that BMW Motorrad seems to want a piece of the action in all kinds of motorcycle classes. With this 313cc single cylinder engine, they’re entering the space of the KTM 390 Duke. BMW’s bandino puts out a pretty 33hp and 28Nm of torque to move the 158kg bike. The G310 is aimed to be “affordable fun”. But just like the KTM Duke’s, which is A LOT of fun, we don’t see them too often as a base bike for a custom project. It was the Japanese Workshop Wedge, led by Takashi Nihira, took a G310 before and turned it into this awesome flat tracker.
Now the guys from Cafe Racer Dreams turned their hands on the G310 and turned it into a slick, modern-meets-retro cafe racer bike. The flat line and Bavarian color palette underline the agility and the roots of the machine.
